South Down MP Eddie McGrady has welcomed the news that work will commence
on a new hotel in Downpatrick in January 2010.

Mr McGrady stated, “This is a very exciting project that will lead to job
creation, boost the local economy and provide additional accommodation for
tourists and visitors to Co Down. The hotel will compliment the work being
undertaken in Downpatrick town under the Masterplan and Public Realm
scheme and will be a welcome boost for the area”.
