Eddie McGrady MP has welcomed the announcement of a scheme my Minister Margaret Ritchie for the £1.2 million upgrade of Newry Street, Newcastle Street, Bridge Street and Greencastle Street, Kilkeel.

The MP Said;

“This investment will be great boost for the community of Mourne and business owners in Kilkeel. Over the years private businesses and community associations have invested greatly in the towns environment and overall appearance. This £1.2 million for the undergrounding of cables; upgrading of footpaths; increased lighting; and improvements to street furniture will compliment the work already done.

I look forward to the completion of this scheme and the tourism and business benefits it will bring to Kilkeel.”
