Speaking after receiving confirmation from the Department of Education that Ballynahinch High School’s new build has been included in the Capital funding programme the MP for the area said;

“After intensive lobbying in partnership with the school, I am greatly relieved that the Department has agreed to support the project for Ballynahinch High Schools new build. This comes as a great relief to the school, the children and parents, who were unsure of the schools future following the freeze placed on funding by the Department of Education last year.

I look forward to continuing my work with the school and the Education Board to ensure that this project progresses without further delay.”
