MP Visits New Downpatrick Wastewater Treatment Works
Eddie McGrady MP along with his colleague Minister Margaret Ritchie MLA visited the site of the new Downpatrick Waste Water Treatment works to view the progress being made and meet with the NI Water Officials in charge of the project.
Speaking after his visit to the site the MP said;
“This new treatment facility will be state of the art and was very impressive in its scale and technology. Downpatrick has waited many years for this new treatment works. I trust that progress will continue unhindered and that the town of Downpatrick and surrounding area will have an acceptable and state of the art waste water treatment system in the very near future.
This new treatment facility is vital if we are to meet the environmental standards necessary and keep up to date with the progress of the towns development and new services.
