“Northern Ireland Water have confirmed that the funding required to  resolve the Drumaness sewage problem has been secured for this financial year and that the work should be completed by March 2010.

NI Water have advised that they will be undertaking work to separate the Spa and Magheratimpany sewage flows from the Drumaness flows and re-directing these to new receiving tanks.

I trust this work will resolve the sewage overflows which affected the village on many occasions. After the initial delay in the publishing of the report recommending this work I will be pursing the completion of the scheme to ensure that this scheme is not blighted by further delays.”
