Eddie McGrady MP on Drug Seizures

“ I was both shocked and relieved to hear that such a large quantity of drugs had been taken off our streets. I believe this should act as a wakeup call to us all and we must help by assisting police in whatever way we can to tackle the drug problem in our towns and villages.

These seizures show us the importance of assisting the police with any information we have on drug dealers or the location of drugs.

These seizures in Kilkeel, Lisburn, Hillsborough, Lurgan and Belfast are the tip of the iceberg and represent a proportion of the drugs that are circulating throughout Northern Ireland. We can be assured that the PSNI are monitoring these high level criminals and they must be congratulated on this success and assisted by the community.”
