“When I met the team a few months ago I was heartened to see such dedication and hard work being put into this venture and this has surely paid dividends as they now hold the Celebrity Bainisteoir title.

I have no doubt that the high standard of training and play demonstrated by the Glasdrumman boys will stand them in good stead for the future of local football and as a Saul Man this does give me some cause for concern.

However, all joking aside, no matter what the outcome of the final had have been the Teams participation in Celebrity Bainisteoir has done a great service not only to their club and to the County, but has shown to the Country what is good and true about our Gaelic tradition; that is discipline, dedication, hard work, a love of our cultural heritage and above all and most importantly a desire to see our culture kept alive and flourishing for the next generation.
