125 New Social Houses in the next 12 months for South Down
Confirmation has been received from the Minister for Social Development Margaret Ritchie that 125 New social housing units are planned for South Down in the next 12 months. These new homes will be spread throughout the constituency and will provide housing for families, the elderly and those who need supported living arrangements.
These new homes will make a huge difference to the lives of many families and elderly people in the Constituency who are currently on the housing waiting list and I would call on all local politicians to ensure that their Party’s Ministers on the Executive get behind Minister Ritchie in her calls for the funding she needs to provide more of these much needed homes.
These 125 homes are planed for 2009/10 financial year and I look forward to many more new homes in the years to come.”
